Mapping the Branding Economy in Norwich and Norfolk
We are so excited to announce a new partnership with BOP Consulting conducting ground-breaking research into the branding economy in Norwich and Norfolk. This innovative study aims to uncover the potential of branding in the region, explore its economic value, and assess the role it plays in supporting the wider creative industries.
The first aspect of the research involves hearing directly from creatives in Norwich - we would love to hear from you. Fill in the survey below to be apart of our research, it will only take five minutes of your time.
This project is the first of its kind, mapping the branding sector in an area that has yet to fully quantify the economic impact of its creative industries. With the findings, we intend to raise the profile of branding in Norwich and Norfolk, attracting investment and further talent to the region.
The research will bring together key stakeholders from Norfolk’s most well-known brands, including Mobilityways, Aviva, Norwich City FC, Mattressman, Start Rite, local education leaders from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Norwich University of the Arts as well as local freelancers and branding agencies.
Jonathan Todd, Chief Economist at BOP Consulting said "BOP measures and works with creative economies worldwide—from Bristol to Barbados—each reflecting unique local strengths and pride in place. We are excited to now be exploring how branding makes the creative economy of Norwich and Norfolk special. Backing this will be at the heart of stronger and more inclusive economic performance.”
The findings will not only shed light on the strength of the branding cluster in the region but will also demonstrate the immense creative potential that lies within Norfolk, positioning it as a prime destination for future investment in the branding sector.
Research will be concluded and shared at a launch event in April 2025. Keep your eyes on our website and socials for updates.
